Pemberton Secondary School

Prefer climbing or descending?

Climbing!

When you are not competing or training, what are you most likely doing?

Backcountry skiing, mountain biking, or playing golf

Most proud athlete moment to date?

My 16th place finish at the Minneapolis world cup. It isn't my current best world cup result, but at the time it was, and to me it felt like a real breakthrough moment. It made me believe I truly had the potential for a place at the top of the field. Additionally the atmosphere at that race was just so incredibly cool!

Who do you want to thank?

There are way too many people to name who have played a part in getting me to where I am today. That’s what’s so cool about this sport—the sheer number of people who pour their heart into developing these programs so kids like me can succeed. To name just a few among many, my parents for always supporting me; Delores Los for getting me into skiing all those years ago; Tony Peiffer and Brent Murdoch for the ridiculous amount of work they put into Whistler Nordic over the years; Chris Manhard for being a great coach and an even greater friend; and my teammates for the camaraderie and friendship. And to all the BC coaches and volunteers who make our events and races possible, we’d be nowhere without you.
