JACK RABBITS

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION :

The Jack Rabbits Program is directed at children in the ‘FUNdamentals’ stage of the Long-Term Athlete Development Model. This is the second level of the program.

This program is designed to develop fundamental skills, build overall motor skills, confidence and social skills and encourage fun and participation.  Low level and fun competitions are introduced.  Athletes progress into the next level upon completion of Jackrabbits, which is Track Attack.

Low-key competitions are introduced, as are inter-club social, skill and fitness oriented ski activities.

Classic skis, poles and boots for all Jack Rabbits Levels 1-4

Skate skis, poles and boots for Jack Rabbits Levels 3-4 only

Ski equipment can be rented at Whistler Olympic Park & Cross Country Connection at Lost Lake :

**A valid Whistler Nordics club membership is required for participation in club programs and can be purchased at the time of registration.
