WOP Volunteer Recognition Program
This year the Whistler Nordics Ski Club is involved in organizing the Haywood Ski Nationals through the umbrella of Callaghan Valley Cross Country. This event is part of the Sea to Sky Nordic Festival at Whistler Olympic Park, March 15 to 31, 2013. The S2SNF is the national championships for all three nordic sports that WOP can host – biathlon, cross country, and ski jumping/nordic combined. It will be a mini-Olympics with over 900 athletes, 99 medal events, 12 paranordic competitions, and over 500 volunteers will be needed to make it all happen.
To show their appreciation to the volunteers who make these events possible, and to encourage early volunteer commitment, WOP has prepared a recognition program. In short, you will earn one voucher per day you volunteer, and these vouchers can be redeemed for a variety of products at WOP – from day tickets to waxing.
