There are two season passes to Ski Callaghan/Whistler Olympic Park up for grabs and your chances of winning one are pretty strong at the moment! What do you need to do? Register for the Sigge’s Payak to be held on February 23, 2013 before 9:30 p.m. on November 15, 2012. Pre-register for the Sigge’s Payak, at www.payak.ca
The Early Bird Deadline for the Payak is Dec 31, after that the price goes up by $10 then another $15, so register soon!
Callaghan Country Volunteer Opportunities (includes complimentary Ski Callaghan Season Pass)
The Early Bird Ski Callaghan Season Pass deadline is fast approaching (9pm Nov. 22) and it’s down to decisions. Callaghan Country is seeking volunteers for this upcoming 2012-13 Winter Season and each volunteer position comes with a complimentary Ski Callaghan Season Pass!
Who are they looking for? Qualified, energetic, friendly, and team-oriented individuals for the following volunteer positions:
~ Nordic hosts
~ Nordic patrollers
~ Guest experience ambassadors
~ Trail crew (maintenance/interpretive development)
~ Social media ambassadors (bloggers/video production)
~ Event coordinators

If you like Nordic skiing, snowshoeing or just enjoy being out in the snow and would like to contribute to our community legacy and the Whistler Olympic Park guest experience, then have a look at the opportunities below.
WOP is looking for:
• Enthusiastic, energetic and committed Volunteer Ambassadors to assist with a variety of operational aspects within the Whistler Olympic Park
• Parent and Youth teams may also volunteer to work together under the Sport & recreational Services role, provided a parent is responsible for youth safety, supervision and scheduling.
• A seasonal commitment of 48 hours mid November – end of March (i.e. 4 shifts x 12 weeks)

Lost Lake Cross Country and Snowshoe Trail Volunteers:
- Flexibility of shifts
- Great social events
- Opportunity to give selflessly, help others and inspire people
- Cross Country Season’s Pass (must commit 2-4 hours per week)
The municipality is excited to invite energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join the Cross Country and Snowshoe Trail volunteer team. You will act as an ambassador of the municipality and the Lost Lake Trail System. Responsibilities include providing first aid, trail maintenance, safety checks, validating passes and providing assistance and information to guests.
If you have the ability to cross country ski and/or snowshoe, would like to improve your fitness, are familiar with the cross country ski trails and thrive on providing great service to guests, we’d love to hear from you.
