BIB Washing
Yes, all the bibs need washing each day – that’s between 300-600 bibs! If you have a washing machine and could wash and dry a portion of the bibs during the evening on one or more of the following days please contact Margot Murdoch on mblebrun@telus.net:

Mar 26 Interval start Classic
Mar 27 – sprints – Juv/Jun/Para
Mar 28 – longer sprints – open
Mar 30 – long distance

BILLETS Needed
If you have a spare room or bed for any of the nights between March 23rd and March 30, please consider billeting a volunteer for the Haywood Ski Nationals.  Many of these volunteers have come from outside of BC, some of them as far as France and Russia!  We need to do our part in welcoming them to Whistler while keeping their costs down.  Even a couple of nights would be valuable (22/23, 29/30) if you don’t want to commit to the whole week.

BANQUET Coat Check
We need some adults and kids to man the coat check for all the athletes at the Nationals Banquet Mar 30, 6 – 11pm.  Spot your favourite athletes and be part of the closing celebration. To volunteer please contact Margot Murdoch on mblebrun@telus.net

WOP Volunteer Recognition Program
This year the Whistler Nordics ski club is involved in organizing the Haywood Ski Nationals through the umbrella of Callaghan Valley Cross Country.  This event is part of the Sea to Sky Nordic Festival at Whistler Olympic Park, March 15 to 31, 2013.  The S2SNF is the national championships for all three Nordic sports that WOP can host – biathlon, cross country, and ski jumping/Nordic combined.  It will be a mini-Olympics with over 900 athletes, 99 medal events, 12 paranordic competitions, and over 500 volunteers will be needed to make it all happen.
